Makenzie's 1st Day of Pre-School

Well, on Tuesday the fourth my little girl went to pre-school. She was very excited and ready to be a big girl. She so wanted to be like her friend Abbey and go to Kindergarden but unfortunately she is six months younger. So pre-school is the perfect fix. She is going to the Busy Bee Pre-School just a few blocks away. It's really nice that it is so close. Her teachers name is Mrs. Shannon, a very happy, fun lady and Makenzie thinks she's really cool. Makenzie has had only one complaint or request, she wanted to know if Jake could come. I asked her if Jake got to go did she think I could go too? Which she replied, " No mom, this school is only for small people."

A Camping we will go!

It's Labor Day weekend and what to do? Camping of course! Me, Josh, Kenzie, Jake and Josh's brother family went camping near Sugarloaf mountain. It was actually on a farm owned by my sister in-laws family. It was great because this farm had miniature horses for the kids to ride and plenty of room for Josh and his brother to ride his beloved 4-wheeler. My kids love camping because they get plenty of freedom to roam and explore. We had a great time!

Check out my Slide Show!

Our Kids practicing driving Daddy's four-wheeler. Maybe someday they be able to actually get to turn it on.
They think the goggles make them even better. I don't know about better but they sure are cute!

EASTER ROLL AT THE WHITE HOUSE 2007

This year the Easter Egg Roll was, by far, the best one we've enjoyed out of the three times we've gone. Finally there was no rain!! The first year we were rained out. Then, the second year, although we made it onto the White House lawn, it drizzled rain all day long. So this year was a bit cold and the sun was shining most of the time but most importantly, no rain! Whenever we go we have such an exciting time with the kids and they get to see and do all kinds of things. There was many of the PBS & Disney cartoon characters there, like Handy Manny, Shrek, Charlie Brown, Curious George, Clifford the big red dog, Bugs Bunny and the list goes on. Some activities they got to participate in were face painting, the egg roll, egg dying, the egg hunt and breakfast on the Ellipse. The Easter Egg Roll also had all kinds of performances like Sesame Street, Johnny and the Sprites and Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana. Jacob really loved Sesame Street because he got to see ELMO! I think Joshua's personal favorite was Johnny and the Sprites. I mean, I could be wrong, but I saw him singing & dancing to all the songs. It is always such fun and its so cool being that close to the White House. Hopefully next year it will be warm with NO RAIN!!
