The 1st day of 1st grade

Well it's another School year. I can't believe Makenzie's in the 1st grade! I keep asking myself where did the summer go? This year when the first day rolled around there was no anxiousness of the unknown, just excitement.
Makenzie acted like an old pro helping to get things ready for school and getting into the old routine. I wish I could adapt as easily to the routine as she did. I liked getting up at 8:30 instead of 7:00! Oh well, I guess I'll make do:)

Some back posting....

I was going through some pictures I've taken in the past weeks and I saw things that I wanted to post but haven't taken the time (or had the time.) These are the pictures of Makenzie graduating from Kindergarten. She got the award for best dressed. I don't think she cared to much. But I thought it was pretty cool. Now I can say "see kenzie I must not dress you to bad if people think your well dressed."
Hopefully that will stop the"discussion" over clothes in the morning for awhile! The last picture is of her and some of her friends from her kindergarten class. She really loved Kindergarten I hope she has as much fun as a 1st grader!
Then after she was out of school officially for the summer we got a visit from her cousin Jasmine. Makenzie loves Jazzie and always wants a sleepover but the only real time that can happen is when we have a brake from school. So they got their wish and they had a great weekend swimming, watching movies outside and going for boat ride. Cute Girls ready for Church. They love to have the same hair
do's or clothes when ever they can.

Going for a ride in a boat at Germantown Lake.

Mason 3 months,

I can't believe it has been three months already since our cute little Mason was born. He is smiling, laughing and occasionally crying, as you can see by the pictures. He is such a joy to have and we feel so blessed to have him. So those who have asked (you know who you are "grandmas") to see more picture here they are. I wish I could take credit for taking such cute pictures but I have to thank my friend Melissa for that. Thanks Mel you're awesome.

Baby Mason is Here!

Shortly after midnight on Sunday, March 8th (which is really now Monday the 9th) , the following dialogue took place: Lindsey: "I think it's time to go to the hospital", Josh: "Are you sure, I haven't even finished packing the suitcase with a change of clothes yet and my favorite sweats are still in the dryer", Lindsey: "Are you serious! I don't care about your dumb sweats! let's go noooooowwwwww!", Josh: "Ok, I'll just grab something really quick and we're on our way". Lindsey: "Can't you drive any faster, I'm not having this thing in the car!" Josh: "Honey, just lay back and do that breathing thing, maybe that'll make you feel better, we'll be there soon". Lindsey: "Don't you tell me what to do to feel better, I'll do what I want!" Josh: "Yes dear!" No, this was not an episode of I Love Lucy. If you haven't guessed it yet, a few hours after this lovely conversation, our family welcomed a new little baby boy named Mason Daniel. He was 8 lbs 10 oz. Not quite as big as his brother and sister were but still not small by any stretch of the imagination. We were going to be induced the following day on the 10th but Mason decided that he was going to make his appearance a day early. It was weird going into labor by myself since I've never done so before. The other two were induced. I spent most of Sunday telling myself that I wasn't in labor. By midnight the labor pains were not letting me think that anymore (as witnessed by the aforementioned "chat" between Josh and I). It was a very fast and smooth labor. Luckily, I had just enough time to get my epidural! Yeh! The happy brother and sister.

Merry Christmas!

We'll as you can see Santa found us out here in Nebraska. The kids were worried that Santa might not know were to find them. I reasured them that Santa being the smart man that he is he would find them. I think their worries were laid to rest when they saw the heap of presents. They had a great time ripping and tearing into each present. Makenzie and Jake kept saying I must of been really good! Needless to say they had a very good Christmas. The high light of course is that we got to spend the time with Grandma and Grandpa Daniels. I'll hopefully post more pictures later if I can get my pics to up load to my computer!

Makenzie with her new Hannah Montana Guitar giving us a show.
